Today, memory is increasingly being replaced by photographs, videos and 3D scans that digitise our lives. Unlike human memory, these digital traces neither fade nor disappear. Instead, they persist indefinitely, preserved like ghosts drifting through the cloud, forgotten even by those who created them. As a result, our memories become less personal and less alive, transformed into data points within a vast digital archive.

I Don't Remember was created during my residency at the Pont du Gard, France, in 2024 as an experimental starting point for exploring forgotten memories. Focusing initially on my own forgotten experiences, the installation uses blurred and fragmented imagery to evoke unconscious recollections, inviting viewers into a journey through dreams, absence and the subconscious.
